I’ve had 25 years experience in Enterprise Technology, combining real-world operational experience gained from 13 years working for a Global Telco with 12 years supporting some of the worlds largest enterprises – helping them build out IT and innovation strategies aligned to their ever changing business goals.
I have a history of making real impact, in particular with bringing new technologies to market and empowering customers and sales/pre-sales teams to deliver them. I am a real believer in championing talent in the quest for delivering customer success and have built and run talent organisations as well as building SME groups to amplify skills within organisations.
As as accomplished speaker and story teller I can bring customer impact standing on a stage in front of 24,000, or in a 1:1 environment with a senior leader where my real-world operational background affords me credibility and empathy. That combined with my expertise in knowing how to empower people to execute against a strategy allows me to connect across organisations and bring influence and change without authority.
Outside of work I am a maker and builder at heart, evidenced by winning BBC TV’s Robot Wars World Championships – and then taking that success and turning it into a vehicle for advancement of young people in STEM around the world.
It’s my unique experience and ability to bring impact that led to me being included in the Palo Alto Computer History museum as a “Founders Interview” exploring my journey in the industry from school to where I am today, something I am immensely proud of.
